A false story about the Sun shifting position did the rounds recently, fooling a number of news outlets. Something about NASA updating the signs of the zodiac due to a change of constellations. Total bunk, of course. The Earth continues to orbit the Sun and Copernicus was right all along. So there.

Back to Earth now, and a YouTube clip called “Tomio hraje fotbal” featuring the right-wing Czech politician Tomio Okamura scoring a penalty kick. The five-second video, posted by Okamura, features fellow Dawn party member and MP Jaroslav Holík in goal.

Watching on is Freedom and Direct Democracy (Okamura’s latest political organisation) Zlín region election candidate Jaroslav Dvořák, who seems elated by his boss’s sporting prowess. An unidentified female onlooker also raises her hands in celebration. So much to suffer in a brief five seconds.

Following a private meeting in New York with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Donald Trump “acknowledged that Jerusalem has been the eternal capital of the Jewish people for over 3,000 years, and that the US, under a Trump administration, will finally accept the longstanding congressional mandate to recognise Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel,” said his campaign. So a President Trump will also bring peace to the Middle East. Yeah, right.
